You will be expected to maintain your car as you would normally even with an auto warranty. Having an auto warranty doesn’t mean you can neglect the required maintenance on your vehicle. For example, you will still be required to keep up with oil changes, tire rotations, coolant flushes and all the other services that keep your car running properly. Your warranty paperwork will state that you are required to keep up on the maintenance suggested by the vehicles owner’s manual, and failure to do so may void your car warranty. This doesn’t mean that if something goes wrong that your claim will automatically be denied, but if there is vehicle negligence your warranty may be voided.
